A Few Unique Ways To Use A Vacuum Cleaner With A Hose Attachment – Besides Cleaning The Rug
Most people know about, and have used a vacuum cleaner. They are most famous for removing dirt and other debris from your carpet, or floors – and, usually, will come with some handy hose attachments that are great for sucking up dust and cobwebs you can’t reach with your upright machine. However, these vacuum hose attachments can also clean up some other “less commonly known” things, and here is a short list of several:
Cleaning up after giving a haircut – If you are a hairdresser – or just a person who gives her family those dreaded “bowl” haircuts they love so much – you can forget about having to hunt down the broom and dust pan the next time you get out your cutting shears to create “head art”.
By using a vacuum with a hose wand, you can now “suck” those hairs up and out of the way, instead of repeating a few monotonous “sweep and dump” moves, like before. You can also use it to remove those annoying little pieces that get stuck to the haircut recipient’s face – just turn the machine on, apply to skin, and suck it down!
Get that sand out of your clothes, your shoes and off your body – the easy way! If you love to go the beach and soak up the sun while playing in the water, that’s understandable. And, if you HATE all the hidden places that sand can get stuck to you, or show up later – it’s even MORE understandable.
If you are a beach “lover” who can’t stand one grain of sand on your body from the event and must have it removed immediately, then make sure you always carry a car vacuum with a hose attachment in the car. After a day at the beach, first find any clothes or shoes you’ve left on the ground, and use the hose to suck all the sand from them – taking special care to remove it from your shoes and socks before attempting to put them back on. Then once your body is dried do the same thing – have a friend suck all the sand off your bathing suit, out of your hair, and especially from your skin in hard to reach places.
Deep clean that handbag – If you have a purse, then you know what a hassle cleaning it out thoroughly can be. There always seems to be something stuck to the bottom of it, or hidden in the corners that you just can’t remove – no matter how hard you try.
But with a vacuum attachment you can fix this problem right away – just tip the purse upside down and empty out the wrappers and other large debris. Then stick the hose down near the seam, and suck up the dirt as you vacuum away. Just make sure you don’t have any hard candy or gum stuck to the cloth that may clog the tube or your machine.
Use it to play with the cat – This last way to use your vacuum hose should only be tried if your pet has an extremely good sense of humor, and you are REALLY bored. The way you do this is by turning on the vacuum and letting your cat get used to the sound. If she seems OK with it after a few minutes, then use the hose to lightly “suck” at her paws, at the fur on the top of her head – or lightly suck her tail into the tube. If at this point she still hasn’t scratched you, it might be a good time to have someone take a picture before she suddenly changes her mind.
So as you can see, there are many different ways to use a vacuum cleaner with an attached hose, besides just cleaning the carpets! If you think hard enough, you can probably come up with a few more ways that aren’t listed here.
